Einladung zu einer Fahrradtour am 19. August

John Culp, ist Mitglied im Verein Munich American Peace Committee (MAPC), das jeden 2ten Montag im Monat bei Radio LORA um 20 Uhr auf Sendung ist.
Der MAPC wurde Anfang der 1980er Jahre von einer Gruppe in München lebender fahrradtourUS-amerikanischer Friedens= aktivisten gegründet. Ihre Aktivitäten umfassen die Teilnahme an Demonstrationen, Briefeschreiben an  Senatoren im US-amerikanischen Kongress, Verbindungsaufnahme zu Dissidenten im US-amerikanischen Militär; gleichzeitig sind sie aber auch immer auf der Suche nach neuen Veranstaltungsorten, Themen, Aktionen und Mitgliedern um ihre Idee zu verbreiten. Vor allem wollen sie aber die deutsche Öffentlichkeit mit der US-amerikanischen Friedensbewegung, und umgekehrt die US-amerikanische Öffentlichkeit mit der deutschen Friedensbewegung, bekannt machen. John Culp veranstaltet eine Tages Fahrradtour an den Starnberger See mit verschiedenen Besichtigungen.
Im Folgendem seine Einladung:
Dear MAPC Bike Tour Fans and Friends! How many of you have heard of Kaiserin Sisi at Possennhofen & Roseninsel .. Tutzinger Akademie .. Ilkehöhe .. Buchheim Museum .. but have put it off for another day?
Now is your chance to put it off no more and take a tour starting at the Hauptbahnhof “Starnberger Bhf” Gl./track 28 .. we meet one another right across at the BOB Schalter / ticket office at 09:15 sharp .. the Partner Tickets cost € 20 for 5 persons .. must also pay € 2.50 for each bike with wheels greater than a 20 inch diameter ..
the S6 Tutzing leaves at 09:35 from track 28 .. and Pasing at 09:43 .. etc .. we exit in Possenhofen at 10:09 .. with ample time to get a personally guided tour by the Museum Direktorin of the Kaiserin Elisabeth Museum in Pöcking .. starting at 10:30 ..
afterwards we do a Roseninsel ferry & tour ..
then we bike down to Tutzing analyzing the impressive construction of the Tützinger Akademie ..
biking just a few hundred meters further we find the Tützinger Biergarten ..  famous for its Konditorei .. backery .. and we can go swimming just around the corner in a special bathing area ..
afterwards we bike to the famous IlkeHöhe .. only 2.7 km von Tützing .. famous for the most outstanding panoramic view of the entire “5-Seen-Land” .. and for its restaurant ..  a less expensive self-service Beer Garden section is also available ..
theoretically we could continue on to the Buchheim Museum der Phantasie ..  closing at 6p .. double back to Tutzing .. altogether (only?) 22 km .. but we’ll have to postpone til next year .. J
